Path of the Dragon est un recueil des chapitres PoV de Daenerys Targaryen issus d’A Storm of Swords et présenté comme un roman court indépendant (et possible à lire indépendamment) du reste de la saga. Il est paru dans le numéro de décembre 2000 du magazine américain de Science-Fiction et de Fantasy Asimov's, dont Gardner Dozois, ami et collaborateur de longue date de George R. R. Martin, était alors rédacteur en chef[1].
Comme son prédécesseur, Blood of the Dragon, il ne fut jamais publié en français mais ne contient aucune donnée qui ne soit dans les tomes réguliers de la saga.
